Along with our national partners Green Pastures, and all of our “Friends of Transom Trust”, we thank the Good Lord for this opportunity to celebrate His goodness and provision.

We are delighted and excited to open up our first supported accommodation in Bexhill Town Centre. This adds to our three existing properties in St Leonards. Two new residents moved into the flat on 11th May, and they were both very pleased with their new home. Their one-to-one pastoral support volunteers are busy helping them to settle in well, and we appreciate that there is a long way to go to help both residents progress towards independent living. W

e are also working closely with Rother Council to ensure we continue to: meet all the supported housing regulations; and also provide a high level of accommodation and support for our residents. It is amazing how far Transom Trust has developed since late 2017 – to realise our vision to play an important role in addressing the challenging and complex issue of homelessness in the Hastings, St Leonards and Bexhill areas.

We always plan to take on one “new” property a year, but due to probate issues, we missed out on taking a property in 2021. So, it is so good to be able to take on two properties in Bexhill in 2022. The next property in Sidley is undergoing upgrade work, and should be ready for use later this year.

Please “watch this space” for developments. Meanwhile, we continue to look for new volunteers to further strengthen our team and provide the support for the additional three new residents. Thank you for all your continued and vital support.
