INFLUENCING PARLIAMENT FOR GOOD

On 15th November, our national partners – Green Pastures – hosted a fantastic event for 26 of their Local Partners and their MPs. The aim of the event was that each Partner attending would get connected with their MP, and that their MP would agree to visit their supported housing project in the near future.

Green Pastures also asked the MPs attending to introduce us to more MPs so that more homeless people can be accommodated and supported. The event went really well and you can watch a summary via this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llqtRgWlv3E .

Particularly look out for the presentation given by Helen Syrop from Hope Housing Bradford (found around halfway through the presentation), as well as the Partner interviews which follow the presentation.

Green Pastures are so thankful for the event, and they are proud of their Partners (including Transom Trust). We all believe that fruit is going to come from the conversations that took place there. Green Pastures also plan to host another event like this in the future. This will enable more of us to get the opportunity to meet our MPs, and show that the Church has the means and co-ordination necessary to end homelessness.
